Boeing 777 200 300 Thai Airways. Thai Airways

Boeing 777 is a serial model of American passenger liners, a wide-body aircraft for flights over long distances. It was developed in the early 90s, first flew in 1994, and began operating in 1995.

The capacity of the Boeing 777 is 305-550 people and depends on the interior design. The characteristics of the engines allow it to cover distances of 9–17.6 thousand km. Boeing 777 300 ER has set a record flight range in passenger aviation - 21,601 km.

Boeing's 777 is the largest turbofan aircraft for passenger transportation among liners with 2 engines. The aircraft is equipped with engines from General Electric model GE 90, these are the most powerful and largest gas turbine engines in aviation history. An important feature of the vessel is the landing gear of 6 wheels. The cockpit is equipped with LCD screens.

Interesting! The development was carried out not only by Boeing specialists, but also by representatives of other airlines and passengers. It is the first airliner to be 100% computer-generated, and no paper drawings were ever created during development, thereby minimizing the possibility of errors or inaccuracies.

The largest fleet (102 units) is owned by the Emirates airline. Another 89 pieces are on order and are in production.

Russian air carriers such as Nord Wind (Northern Wind) and Aeroflot have 21 Boeing 777-300 ER aircraft in their fleet.

The interior of the airliner was created using curved lines, called the Boeing Signature Interior. Luggage racks have been enlarged, and indirect lighting has been created for a more comfortable stay on board and restful sleep. The layout of the interior allows airlines to easily move seats, toilets, kitchens and create the desired cabin configuration. The largest portholes in the commercial class are installed on the vessel, their size is 380 by 250 mm.

Boeing 777-300: cabin layout and best seats

For most airlines, the Boeing 777 300EP cabin is divided into 3 classes: business, comfort and economy. Many low-cost airlines operating liners that can accommodate about 500 people prefer a layout with only one class - economy. Turkish and Thai Airlines, Air France, Etihad, Russian Nord Wind and Aeroflot use the 3 class version. The Rossiya company uses a modification with 2 classes - business and economy.

In the front part of the cabin there is a business class with 30 seats. Next is the comfort class, in which 48 seats are installed according to the 2-4-2 scheme. Next is the economy class with a capacity of 330 passengers with a 3-4-3 seating arrangement.

The most comfortable seats on ships with 3 classes:

  • 1-5 rows. Business class is located here according to the 2-2-2 scheme. These are the most comfortable seats with soft, wide seats and plenty of legroom.
  • 11-16 rows. Here is a comfortable class with less legroom than in business. The layout plan is 2–4–2. The 11th row is the most inconvenient, since it is located near the toilet and right in front of the partition, which reduces the amount of free space.
  • Row 17 is the most comfortable in the economy. Economy class begins with it, so the row is in front of the partition, which allows you to stretch your legs and eliminates the reclining of the seat by the passenger in front. There are only 2 seats near the windows, which also adds comfort and allows you to less disturb your neighbors if you need to go out.
  • Row 18, seats C and H. There are no front-seated passengers, which increases legroom. The seats are located in the middle part of the fuselage, which reduces the effects of turbulence.
  • Row 24. Located behind the emergency exits, there are no front-seated passengers. The downside is the proximity to the toilet.
  • Row 38. The scheme is similar to row 24 - the kitchen and emergency exits are located nearby. Plenty of free space.
  • Rows 47–49. 2 seats at the portholes, which is convenient for traveling together.

Good places on liners with 3 classes:

  • Row 12, seats H, G, D, C. These seats are in the aisle. Flight attendants carrying food can be hit by carts, and passengers going to the toilet will create discomfort due to the narrowness of the aisles.
  • Row 20. Some carriers may not have portholes.
  • Rows 23, 36, 50. Behind these places are exits and toilets. The ability to recline the seat backs may not be available.

The least comfortable seats on liners with 3 classes.

  • Row 37, 51. The seats in these rows are near the kitchen and restrooms, the backs may not recline fully. Places G, D are located in the aisle and in direct proximity to the conductors with carts and people passing by.

Important! Before choosing an airline for travel, you need to check the seating arrangement on the official website.

Aeroflot cabin configuration

Aeroflot uses a cabin configuration with 3 classes:

  • Business class, 30 seats. It occupies the front part of the aircraft cabin. The seats are comfortable, fully fold out, large legroom, multimedia entertainment systems are installed. You can choose any location.
  • Comfort class, 48 seats. Only "three sevens" has this class of service in Aeroflot. Each seat has its own lights, multimedia systems, footrests. There is a lot of free space, you can order food from business class. The least comfortable seats are in the 11th row, which are located in front of the partition, as well as in the 12th, 15th and 16th rows, since the windows are shifted there.
  • Economy class, 324 seats. In this configuration, the economy class is divided into three sections.

Economy class features:

  • Seats in the 17th row have twin seats at the windows, convenient for two passengers flying together.
  • 20 row is devoid of windows.
  • Rows 17, 24, 39 are in front of the partition and have more free space. Row 24 is located near the kitchen and restrooms, which causes discomfort.
  • In the area of rows 47-51, the salon narrows, the seats near the windows are arranged in pairs, there is no need to disturb the neighbors to get out.

The general cabin configuration of Aeroflot Airlines corresponds to the general layout discussed above, so the recommendations for choosing seats are the same.

Airline cabin configurationEmirates

Emirates Airlines is the largest operator of the Boeing 777-300ER. This Boeing 777 model, thanks to the 800 Trent engine, has an increased flight range and efficiency. There are four types of cabin layout in the carrier's fleet.

Note! When planning a trip with Emirates, it is imperative to clarify the cabin layout used on the flight at the time of ticket purchase.

Most often, the airline uses a three-class layout for 365 passengers. First class has 12 seats, followed by business class with 42 seats and economy class with 310 seats.

Each passenger seat has built-in USB 2.0 connectors and 110V sockets. All seats are equipped with an entertainment system with a monitor, downloaded archives of music and films in different languages, including Russian.

The variety of drinks and food on board is impressive, with first class passengers having the largest selection.

Rows 1–2 - first class, located in the forward fuselage. The chairs are very comfortable and easily convert into a full bed. Service of the highest class, with the most varied menu.

Business class is located in rows 6-11. Comfortable chairs are installed here, a lot of free space so as not to interfere with neighboring passengers. The seats fold out into a bed comfortable enough for long-distance travel. Rows 7-8 can be called the least successful places, since they are located next to the kitchen and toilets. Passengers in row 7 have no windows.

Economy class is located in rows 16-50 of the cabin. The seats are quite wide and provide good legroom.

Economy class seats:

  • Row 16 is spacious, located just behind the business class partition. Can be quite noisy as there are pram mounts.
  • Behind 21 there is a partition nearby, so the backs of the seats may not recline here.
  • Passengers in row 23 do not have windows.
  • 35-36 rows are located near the kitchen, which can cause discomfort.
  • 37 row has a lot of legroom, because it is located at the emergency exits.
  • 50 row is located in front of the partition, the backs of the seats may not recline.

The Boeing 777-300 airliner is one of the most common modifications in the world, so you need to choose the right seats in the right way. You need to familiarize yourself with the layout of the cabin on the website of the airline selected for travel, as they have differences in the number of classes and the location of seats. To admire the scenery or take beautiful photos, you need to choose seats near the windows, but neighbors limit easy access to the exit. The central row is suitable for family travel, but also has its drawbacks.

The Boeing 777-200 is designed specifically for long flights. The aircraft was created in the early 1990s, and has been in active operation since 1995. The length of the aircraft is 63.7 meters, the wingspan in various modifications varies from sixty to 64 meters, the width of the cabin is almost six meters.

Boeing version 777-200LR holds the record for the longest direct flight.

There are many configurations of this aircraft, depending on the arrangement of seats, it can accommodate from three hundred to five hundred and fifty passengers.

Boeing 777-200 Nordwind Airlines

If you are flying Nordwind

The fleet of Nordwind Airlines has two Boeing 777-200 aircraft, in the 777-200ER configuration, which includes 393 seats, which are divided into classes: business and economy. Below is a layout of the boeing 777-200 cabin and the best seats in the cabin to choose from.

Boeing 777-200 cabin layout of Nordwind Airines

This modification of the cabin provides for the following breakdown of seats in rows: three in the first row, three in the last and four seats in the middle. Toilets are located at the beginning and end of the cabin, there are two bathrooms in different parts of the cabin, utility and kitchen facilities are located at the head and tail of the aircraft, one kitchen is located in the middle of the cabin. Only six seats are included in the business class, all of them are located at the front of the cabin. Economy class starts from the fifth row.

The fifth and sixth row of seats are good in their own way, but there is also a fly in the ointment. The disadvantage of these seats is that in front of you there will be a blank wall separating the business class from the rest of the cabin. In addition, you won’t be able to stretch your legs, there simply won’t be enough space, and the dining table will have to be taken out of the armrest. But in front of you there will be no annoying neighbors who would recline the backs of their chairs. The same advantages and disadvantages are observed in the entire 20th row, as well as in the D-G seats of the twenty-first row, only instead of a business class wall there will be a toilet in front of you.

Business class aircraft

Rows twelfth to fourteenth (except for the last three places in row 12) have a small radius of adjustment of the back of the chair, because they are located next to the kitchen. In the 38th and 39th rows, the same problem is observed, only the proximity of the bathrooms is the reason. Another disadvantage of the close location of the WC is the constant flow of passengers past your seat.

Seats in the 45th row are comfortable, since it is there that emergency exits are located, which means that there is additional space. But the 46th row following it is limited in maneuvers - again the proximity of the toilets is to blame.

The seats in the last rows, from 54 to 56, are quite comfortable where they stand in twos. The fuselage narrows in the tail, so there are fewer seats. But the 57th and 58th rows are an extremely poor choice. Armchairs are not laid out, and behind are a toilet and utility room.

Before you is a Boeing 777-200 Nord Wind, the cabin layout of which contains the best and not very successful seat options. When buying a plane ticket, be sure to pay attention to which seat you are buying, do not get into a mess - choose seats in which you will enjoy flying.

Choosing Aeroflot aircraft

Aeroflot has at least thirteen such aircraft. The airline has aircraft of the 777-200ER modification, the most modern of all existing ones.

The cabin of the aircraft is divided into three classes: business, comfort and economic, it will accommodate 402 people.

Toilets and a kitchen are located at the tail and head of the aircraft, as well as at the beginning, middle and end of the cabin. Seats are arranged according to the scheme: "three seats-four-three chairs." The fuselage tapering towards the tail suggests a two-four-two pattern. Most seats are in economy class, thirty are in business class, the rest of the seats belong to the “comfort” category.

In flights on a Boeing 777-200 (cabin map), the best seats are, of course, in the top-level classes. However, if your choice is economy class, then pay attention to the following rules for choosing a convenient seat so that the flight brings you nothing but joy.

The economy class starts from row 17, where it is quite convenient to fly, since there is an emergency exit in front of the seats, and this is a guarantee of free space around. Two seats in row 18, namely C and H, are the most convenient, as they are located far from the utility rooms, and there are no other seats in front of them.

The seat pitch in the economy row is 74 cm.

Boeing 777-300 cabin map Thai Airways. The best seats on the plane

There are only 14 Boeing 777-300s in the Thai Airways fleet. 8 of them have the designation ER, which means Extended Range (increased range). These planes are newer, they have not only business, but also first class.

However, today we will look at the Boeing 777-300. This is an older aircraft, but it is he who is most often used on the route Moscow - Bangkok and others connecting Russia and Thailand.

This aircraft configuration provides 34 business class seats and 330 economy class seats.

WITH 11 to 16 rows occupies business class. The seat width is 51 cm, and the step width between the rows is 155 cm. The chairs recline comfortably, as well as an excellent menu and improved service.

However, there are places here that are a little worse. IN 11 row there are fastenings for baby cradles, so business class passengers with babies are put here.

Also, these rows are located in front of the partition. Some categories of passengers find it inconvenient to look at the wall for the entire many hours of flight.

Places in row 16 located close to the galley. This can cause some discomfort, especially when flying at night and if you want to relax. Also, near the place 16A there is no porthole.

Let's move on to economy class.

31 and 32 rows- chairs marked in yellow or red are not very comfortable. Firstly, these are places with cradle attachments, and being with crying children for the entire flight is very annoying.

Secondly, they are located close to the partition or to the wall of the kitchen/toilet. It's always a hassle.

Thirdly, folding tables are located in one of the armrests and because of this, the armrest does not move.

32C- due to the lack of a seat in front, you will have a lot of extra space for your knees and legs. In conditions of many hours of flight, this is very important.

Places in 43 and 44 rows marked in red. The back of your chair will rest against the wall of the toilet and because of this, there may be a restriction in reclining. The entire flight is in an upright position is very inconvenient.

Does not add amenities and proximity to toilets.

This is fraught with fuss, queues, constant sounds of opening / closing the door and the descent tank.

46 row- the same as in 31.32 rows.

47 row A and K- these places are located directly in front of the emergency doors. You will have extra space for your knees and legs. However, since the door protrudes a little into the cabin, it will not be possible to fully and comfortably pull them out.

47 row B, C and H, J- extra legroom, seat backs recline. It would seem, what else is needed for a comfortable flight?

They are overshadowed only by the location near the toilets. Here, day and night, it is always bustling and noisy. I can step on my foot and hurt my elbow.

Seats in 56 and 70 rows C and H. These seats protrude into the aisle, so that they can be touched by flight attendants with carts or other passengers.

58 row located near the galley. This can be inconvenient.

57 and 59 row- those seats that are marked in yellow may have a restriction in reclining the back.

Advantages and disadvantages of chairs 60 rows the same as in the 47th row.

61 row the distance to the front row of seats is several centimeters less than to any other row on this aircraft.

62 row D,E,F- the same as in 31.32 rows. the places marked in yellow.

62 C and H, the advantages and disadvantages of these places as in 32C

72 row- rests against the wall. Seat backs may be limited in reclining or be blocked at all. Also, “wishing” people to go to the toilet will constantly walk past you.

Here is such a wonderful Boeing 777 from Thai Airways. If you have any questions, you can always contact our customer support team. And if you have flown such an aircraft, we will be glad to hear your comments and remarks.

Also, friends, do not forget that we have a very useful article - "How to choose a good seat on any plane." It can be useful not only for those who rarely fly, but also for avid travelers.

In 1994, a new model of the Boeing Company, developed only with the help of computer graphics, made its first flight. This is a Boeing 777 200 aircraft. The liner is still operated by several major Russian air carriers. Consider the characteristics of this board and determine the optimal passenger seats for a comfortable flight.

On the basis of the 200, the developers supplemented the design with two more series: ER - a board with an increased flight distance - and LR, which flies over extra long distances. Since domestic companies use the basic series and ER models, let's talk about the characteristics of these particular boards. In addition, we will discuss what the Boeing 777 200 is, the layout of the cabin, the best places - we will note all these points in our article.

Boeing 777 200 made its first flight back in the mid-nineties

With an aircraft length of 63.7 meters and a wingspan of 60.9 m, the liner is capable of flying up to 14,300 kilometers, while developing a cruising speed of 905 km/h.

The interior of these models can be of several types of layout. Here are some typical class options:

  • single-class economy - 440 seats;
  • two-class economy + business - 400 seats;
  • three-class economy + first + business - 306 seats.

Wherein the total cabin width of the ER series aircraft is 5.87 meters, and economy class seats are arranged in a 3:4:3 format. In the first class cabin, the seats are arranged according to the 3:3:3 scheme, and the business class offers passengers seats according to the 2:3:2 type. In addition, in the standard cabin of the liner on blocks 39–42, the seats are arranged in a 2:4:2 format. On the last, forty-third line of seats, there are only four seats (Rossiya Airlines).

The above diagram will help you more accurately understand what the cabin plan of such a side is. Accordingly, people who prefer to watch the flight from the porthole choose seats marked A or L in any row. We will discuss some of the nuances regarding the flight and the convenience of passengers in more detail.

Layout of the basic side modification

Today, such aircraft are offered by one of the major aviation companies - Nord Wind. The Boeing 777 200, the cabin layout of which is shown in the photo below, is represented here by two liners. Consider the plan of the aircraft.

These are two-class models, where only 6 seats are placed in the business class cabin with a 2:2:2 layout. Thus, out of 58 rows, a single block is reserved for the line of seats with special comfort. The seats here are located at a sufficient distance from the partitions. Therefore, passengers occupying these seats are unlikely to experience inconvenience during the flight.

The common salon begins from the fifth row. Moreover, there is no strict numbering here - the line of seats at number 13 is not here for reasons of a superstitious plan. In addition, rows 15–19 and 40–44 are occupied by utility rooms. The interval between the seats of the line is about 74 centimeters, so such aircraft are considered not very comfortable for the flight.

In block 5 there are only 4 seats. The main disadvantage here is their placement along the central axis of the side. That is, sitting on this line, passengers will not be able to watch the flight through the window. Passengers who occupy seats 6 A and 6K are more lucky in this regard. People who occupy the rest of the seats in this line will have to look at the wall that encloses the business class cabin.

Behind the 14th, 39th and 58th rows are the emergency exit doors and the technical block. Accordingly, chairs for 12, 14, 37, the middle section 38, 57 and the entire 58 line are unlikely to be decomposed. And the proximity of kitchens and toilets will not be the best neighborhood.

20 seat line the layout is similar to 6 nearby. Here, passengers also watch the entire flight through the partition of the onboard bathrooms. However, experts are not inclined to compare these two options.

Row 20 is very noisy due to constant queues for the restrooms. In addition, there is much less space between the seat and the wall. The only plus here will be the dual seats. Seats C and H of the 21st row have similar characteristics, with the difference that passengers on these seats will be able to comfortably place their legs - the distance to the wall allows this.

Passengers planning to fly in the middle part of the board should remember that there are no windows on certain rows from 20 to 39. Therefore, if you want to take a seat by the window, check with an airport employee or an airline representative in advance.

In general, it is more comfortable for the flight. On the 45th line, the seats are located only on the sides, and a passage opens in front of them in the emergency exit doors. The inconvenience here is the proximity to the restrooms and, as a result, increased noise.

The seats of the central part of the 46th row are completely identical to the similar arrangement of the seats of the 21st line. The seats from rows 54 to 56 are also relatively comfortable. Indeed, in this part of the liner, the layout of the seats is located in the format 2:4:2. The last rows are traditionally considered the worst places on board.

Overview of the 777 200 ER Series

Now let's deal with the liners that it offers to fly. Boeing 777 200 ER, in which we will now consider the best places, suggests a slightly different interior layout. There are three comfort classes: business, superior and economy. The business class cabin has two rows of seats with a 2:3:2 layout. Here the flight will be quite comfortable and unlikely to bring inconvenience.

The improved seating starts in the third row and ends in the sixth row of seats. Moreover, the last block is arranged according to the scheme 2:3:2. Therefore, in this part of the liner, it is optimal to choose places 6A, 6C or 6J and 6L - they are located on the sides of the aircraft. But in general, the advantages and disadvantages of the first rows after the partition are similar to the previously considered example.

The central block of the salon starts from line 10. The seats along the sides border on the partitions of the bathroom, and the axial section - with the kitchen. However, the distance between the chair and the wall is quite sufficient for a comfortable body position. Therefore, the main disadvantage here is the increased noise level. When deciding to take places from the 12th to the 27th row, keep in mind that there are no portholes on some lines. The specific location of such "unfortunate" places should be clarified with the company's employees on a specific board.

Seat backs 29 and 43 lines on this aircraft are limited in unfolding or the seats do not recline at all. The reason for such inconvenience is not the most successful decision of the designers - the close location of the partitions of the technical blocks.

Seats in the compartment of the first class of the liner

30 line located just outside the emergency doors next to the toilets. Accordingly, there is enough space in front of the seats to stretch the legs, but, again, noisy. In addition, experts note the fact that the turbulence of the aircraft is more noticeable in the tail section of the side than in the nose block.

Seats in rows 40–41 marked A, C, J and L - paired, not triple. For this reason, they can be called a good option for young couples. As for similar chairs in the last two sections, a drawback can be noted here - the proximity to the bathroom. In addition, it is impossible to decompose into the seats of the last row - they are located almost close to the wall.

Features of the selection of chairs

When you are, you should pay attention to a few details:

  1. Do not choose places that are near office premises. Passengers will go there all the time, and you will not have the opportunity to rest.
  2. It is also not worth buying tickets for seats in the tail of the aircraft - here the already noted problems are complemented by the inability to expand the chair. Agree, it is inappropriate to choose a seat where there is no possibility to recline the backs. After all, being in one position for a long time is very uncomfortable.

When choosing a seat on this aircraft, you should avoid proximity to the technical blocks and the last row seats

The fact that blocks 13 and 17 are missing on some airliners is connected only with the personal motives of the manufacturers, this does not apply to safety at all. In addition, the design features of the liner suggest such changes.

Finally, we note an important nuance for beginners. Try to purchase tickets in advance and be sure to consult with an airport employee about the specific characteristics of the selected seat. A printout of the board diagram, which the tourist keeps with him, can also greatly facilitate the choice of a chair and protect him from a spoiled trip.

The video below shows the standard interior of the new modification of the described model, the Boeing 700 300.

The Boeing 777 200 made its first flight back in the mid-nineties, but many airlines still use this aircraft today.

The cabin of this liner can hardly be called comfortable because of the three blocks of seats in each row
The scheme of the liner cabin used by Aeroflot

Of these, 8 have the ER nomenclature, which stands for Extended Range (increased range). These planes are newer, they have both business and first class.

But consider the Boeing 777-300. This aircraft is made according to an older model, but it is he who is often used on the Bangkok-Moscow route and others connecting Thailand and Russia.

This aircraft configuration provides for 330 economy seats and 34 business seats.

A couple of general points about the location of the seats in the Boeing 777-300 - their disadvantages and advantages.

1. Seats that are located next to the window have the advantage of being able to look into it during the flight (this, of course, depends on the time of flight and the weather). If you fly at night, this merit does not count. Another neighbor will not bother you if he wants to get up. These places have one drawback - it is not very convenient to leave it yourself. Therefore, if there is no need to go to the toilet often or you intend to oversleep the entire flight, choose seats by the window.

2. The seats, which are located near the aisle, have their own dignity - it is very easy to get up from it, if necessary, to the toilet. The disadvantages are that a neighbor can be disturbed if he needs to get up. Flight attendants with carts and passengers who pass through the cabin to the galley and toilets can also interfere.

11-16 p. - Business Class. The seat width is 51 centimeters, and the step width between the rows is 155 centimeters. Armchairs are laid out in a comfortable way, improved service and an excellent menu are still waiting. But even here there are some worse places. In the 11th row, there are fastenings for baby cradles, so business class passengers with babies are put here. Also, this row is located in front of the partition. For a certain category of passengers, it will be inconvenient to look at the wall for the entire many hours of flight.

16 p. located close to the galley. This will cause some discomfort, especially if you want to relax and during night flights. There is no porthole near location 16A.

Economy class

31, 32 p. - chairs that are marked in red or yellow are not very comfortable. On the one hand, these are places with cradles, and the whole flight is very annoying to be with crying children. On the other hand, they are located close to the wall of the kitchen / toilet and to the partition. Always a fuss. Thirdly, folding tables are located in one of the armrests, so the armrest does not move.

32C - due to the lack of a seat in front, there will be a lot of extra space for legs and knees. This is very important in conditions of many hours of flight.

43 and 44 p., marked in red. The back of the chair will rest against the wall of the toilet, as a result of which there will be a restriction in reclining. Being in an upright position for the entire flight is very inconvenient. Proximity to toilets does not add convenience. This can lead to fuss, queues, constant cistern and door closing/opening sounds, etc.

    46 p. - similar to 31.32 p.

47 p. K, A- these places are located directly in front of the emergency doors. There will be additional room for knees and legs. But since the door to the salon protrudes a little, it will not work out with convenience and completely.

47 p. J, H, C, B-additional legroom, seat backs recline. What else do you need for a comfortable flight? These places are overshadowed only by the location close to the toilets. It is always noisy and vain here both at night and during the day. I can hurt my elbow and step on my foot.

56 and 70 p. H,C. These seats protrude into the aisle, they can be hit by other passengers or flight attendants with carts.

58 p. located next to the galley. Causes inconvenience.

57 and 59 p. - seats marked in yellow may have a limitation in reclining the backrest. Advantages and disadvantages 60 р. similar to 47 p.

61 p. the distance to the row of seats in front is several centimeters less than in all the others.

    62 p. F,E,D-similar to 31.32 p. places marked in yellow.

62 H,C, advantages and disadvantages are similar to 32 C

72 p. - rests against the wall. The seat backs are limited in reclining or completely blocked. Passengers will constantly go to the toilet by.
