Check-in for a plane or flight online. All airlines

Air travel is always a chore associated with fees, waiting for departure and the actual road. A trip with a child is a doubly fuss, as children endure the wait and the road is more difficult than adults. Well, a flight with a baby runs the risk of turning into hell if you don’t prepare for the journey in advance and in the right way. So, what should you consider when preparing for a flight with a baby in your arms?

Preparing for a flight with a child and things you need during the flight

To begin with, it is worth deciding who is considered a baby by air carriers. Infants are children who are under the age of two at the time of departure. Accordingly, when you clarify information regarding a future flight, look for the section of the site that matches the age of your baby.

Do not forget the documents certifying that the child is really yours. Without them, they will not be allowed on board, even if you do not need to issue a separate one for the baby.

A first aid kit when traveling with a child should be stocked in advance with medications that the child is currently taking, if necessary, as well as specific medications that may be required during the flight: nasal drops to prevent stuffy ears, indigestion and antipyretics . Hand luggage must contain disinfectant wipes or gel. This is what you need to take on board, and keep the drops "at hand" to bury before takeoff and landing. For further rest, provide drugs, taking into account the characteristics of the region where you are going (tropics, mountains, and so on), it is advisable to discuss all medications with your doctor.

Baby food must be prepared in advance and taken with you from home, even if the airline provides a service for ordering baby food on board. The baby may want to eat before departure, and takeoff may be delayed.

Video - flight with a baby, what to take with you in a backpack

Take diapers and diapers with a margin, as it is not known how the child will react to the stress associated with the flight. It is possible that the consumption will be more than usual.

If the baby is almost two years old, then it is worth buying a travel potty with spare bags for him. This issue is decided individually for each.

Take a few favorite toys - this will distract him from the unusual situation, prevent whims and transfer the flight as comfortably as possible.

Be sure to have two sets of clothes - warm and light. Perhaps both will come in handy, since it can be cold at the point of departure, and hot in the country of arrival.

Take a mattress from the stroller into the salon - so the baby will feel more comfortable in your arms.

Do not forget the pacifier - it must be given during takeoff and landing. Then the baby will not be rocked and will not lay his ears.

The nuances of flying with a child under one year old

What is the difference between flying with a baby aged a few months and flying with a child of one or two years old? The fact that, under a successful set of circumstances, a 3-6-month-old child may simply not notice the flight and oversleep all the way. To do this, he should be fed an hour and a half before setting off, but not overfed, as well as take a walk with him in the fresh air, do not limit his activity and desire to move and crawl in, entertain him in every possible way. Then it is possible that the baby will simply get tired and fall asleep for the next few hours, which is enough to fly to their destination without any problems.

Airline rules when flying with an infant

Before you travel with a baby in your arms, you should definitely familiarize yourself with the rules for flying with children of your age category, established by the specific airline you are going to fly. These rules vary.

Traveling with children up to 7 days old

Some expressly prohibit infants under one week of age from being carried on board their aircraft. Some take a receipt from the parents about their full responsibility for the consequences of the flight for the health and life of the child. And they even offer to download the form and fill it out in advance so as not to waste time when checking in for a flight.

Separate seat and tickets

If one baby is flying with you, you do not need a ticket. Most airlines allow you to carry it for 10 percent of the ticket price in the hands of mom or dad. And some carriers, in general, charge only airport taxes for a child. If you have two children under 2 years old, then one place in addition to yours will have to be booked and paid. check on the carrier's website - each airline has a different size.

special chairs

If you decide to book a separate seat for a child from six months to two years old, take care in advance that there is a special chair for him. Air carriers usually do not offer special seats, but a regular car seat is often suitable. Sometimes it is required that a given model of car seat be approved for use in aircraft. To confirm the permission, a sticker on the seat itself is enough, and samples of the stickers can be viewed on the website of the carrier, for example, UIA. If the airline provides special seats for rent - in any case, the need for such a service must be indicated and paid for at the time of booking the ticket.

Cradle

Each airline has its own restrictions on the use of a baby carrier. Somewhere it is allowed to use cradles only in wide-body aircraft, somewhere only in Business and Premium classes, and somewhere the cradle will have to be sent to the luggage rack after boarding the aircraft. Information regarding the rental of cots should be specified at the time of booking. And, if such a service is provided, then it is imperative to order it in advance, since it is possible to use a limited number of such devices on each flight.

Baby strollers

Wheelchairs can only be used before boarding the aircraft and after disembarking. Large strollers are checked in as baggage directly at the gangway, small folding strollers of the "cane" type are sent to the luggage rack until the end of the flight. Check the fares for wheelchairs in advance. Most airlines allow you to carry a collapsible stroller for free. But for a large one, checked in as luggage, you need to pay based on the total weight of the luggage. More precisely, to pay extra for the excess.

Everyone has different baggage allowances: somewhere 20 kg, somewhere - 23 kg. Also pay attention to what fare you took the ticket. If this was the now fashionable tariff “without luggage”, then you will have to pay extra for a large stroller, regardless of its weight.

The nuances of the flight, not regulated by the rules of airlines

There are flight rules prescribed by airlines, and they must be strictly observed. And there are still a lot of nuances and questions that almost all parents have, but these issues are not regulated by the regulatory framework. So, what nuances may arise during check-in and during the flight?

Registration without a queue

Are parents with children under two years old required to skip the check-in line? If it is not spelled out in the rules of the airline, then no. But it is quite possible to ask the queue for a favor - most likely, you will not be refused. If there are many families with children in the queue, as is often the case on charter flights, for example, if you are planning a flight to with a baby, then you will have to wait in line on a general basis.

Seat in the front row

Is an airline obligated to seat a family with a baby in the front row, where there is more space for manipulations with dressing, feeding, playing, and so on? Again, if it is not spelled out by the rules of the air carrier, then no. Some companies charge a separate fee for a front row seat. Or it may turn out that there will be more families with babies on board than there are seats in the front row. So get ready for the fact that you will have a minimum of space.

Lounge for families with children

Most airports have a separate equipped room where mothers with children can wait for departure in a more comfortable environment than other passengers in the waiting room. But just in case, check on the site in which terminal this room is located, how much an hour of stay costs, what services are provided there, and so on.

Baby food: where to warm up?

Mother and baby rooms usually provide an opportunity to warm up baby food before departure. A similar service, in theory, should be provided on board the aircraft. However, after many flights stopped serving hot meals, there may be problems with warming up. Therefore, check this possibility in advance. If it is not there, stock up on thermoses and thermo mugs so that the food stays at the right temperature longer.

Airplane safety rules for parents with children

Liquid on board

Food for babies on the plane, you need to take with you, packed in airtight dishes. Check with the carrier for the allowed amount of liquid baby food for hand luggage. Despite the fact that no more than 100 ml of liquid is allowed on board, an exception is usually made for children. You can take with you as much food as your child needs for the duration of the flight.

If the total volume of jars and bottles does not exceed 1 liter, then misunderstandings usually do not arise. Attempts to bring in multi-liter containers with juice or puree will, of course, be stopped. In some cases, the safety control service may ask parents to personally try the baby food to make sure that it is really an edible mixture.

Seat at the emergency exit

Here's what they definitely won't give you - it's an emergency exit seat. There are a lot of restrictions, in this place not only a child, but even a handbag cannot be held in your arms. All personal belongings travel only in the luggage rack. And, in general, they try to give a place at the emergency exit to those who potentially will not slow down the process of emergency disembarkation due to their sluggishness, overweight or advanced age. And ideally, he is able to help open the hatch and organize the evacuation of passengers. It is clear that passengers with children, cradles, chairs, a bunch of diapers, bottles, toys will not be able to be the most prompt and agile in an emergency.

Fixed seats for passengers with children

Sometimes the airline clearly limits the list of places where you can sit down with a child in your arms. This happens when there are only a few rows on board, where there are 4 oxygen masks for 3 seats. Safety regulations require one oxygen mask per passenger.

Use of oxygen masks

If in flight it becomes necessary to use an oxygen mask, then first you need to put the mask on yourself, and already
then to the child. This is a general rule that you will be made aware of before the start of the flight. But it is better if you know about this in advance and do not ask questions that demonstrate your incompetence. Children may respond inappropriately to an attempt to put a mask on them with fear, for example, begin to resist. If an adult is at this moment without oxygen replenishment, then the strength to fight will quickly end, and the consequences for the adult and the child will be sad. If an adult family member is already wearing a mask, then he will be able to cope with the child as soon as possible.

Video - flight rules with a child

These are general rules for preparing for a flight and behavior in flight, the observance of which gives a fairly large guarantee that the trip with the baby will pass without excesses. Have a good flight!

Online check-in reminder:

Now passengers can not waste their time standing in line at the check-in desk at the airport. Anyone can check in for a flight before arriving at the airport using a personal computer, mobile phone, tablet or smartphone.

Online registration is quick and easy, taking between one and four minutes. In addition, you have the opportunity to independently determine the place on the plane. Upon completion of check-in, you will receive a boarding pass on your mobile phone (as an SMS) or by e-mail.

Currently, the online registration procedure is very popular. This service is provided by most Russian airlines, saving customers from a long check-in at the airport.

The relatively recent introduction of this service has not prevented it from gaining high demand among both domestic and transatlantic airline passengers in such a short period of time.

The main advantages of electronic registration:

Significant time savings, as there is no need to stand in line for passenger check-in, and the ability to choose the best seat on the plane.

Self check-in luggage. Upon arrival at the airport, the actions with checked baggage will be clear and simple: either you hand it over at the check-in desk (without a queue), or leave it at the counter.

Round-the-clock availability: at any convenient time, a passenger can check in for a flight.

What do you need to have on hand for online registration?

Passport data (full name, series and number of the passport, by whom and when issued).

    Booking/flight number.

    E-ticket number.

If you are traveling with an infant, the choice of seat in the cabin will be limited.

After entering all the necessary data in the form, an electronic boarding pass will open. Save and print it, as it is presented when boarding the plane. Moreover, registration of hand luggage is not required. But you should pay attention to the rules for registering cargo, which may differ in different airlines. If you are traveling by air for the first time, check out what is considered hand luggage, as well as the list of allowed and prohibited items and weight limits.

It is worth noting that the online check-in procedure, its restrictions and rules are in most cases almost the same in all airlines, but it is still better to resolve emerging issues in advance to avoid unpleasant situations.

If you receive an SMS with a check-in notification on your tablet or mobile phone in the form of a barcode, then upon arrival at the airport you can go to the self-check-in terminal equipped with a scanner, present the barcode for scanning and print your boarding pass, or go to the check-in counter and get your boarding pass .

If you received your boarding pass by email, you just need to print it. Even if you don't have that option, don't worry. Upon arrival at the airport, go to the check-in desk and inform that you have already been checked in for the flight. Your data is already in the airline's database, and it will take a few seconds to print your boarding pass.

How can I check in my luggage in this case?

For most passengers who have resorted to online check-in, the following question arises: “What to do with checking in luggage upon arrival at the airport?”. It turns out that by going through online check-in, you can immediately check in your luggage, indicating the number of bags that will be taken with you on the flight. Also, many airlines provide passengers with the opportunity to pay for baggage check-in through their official websites. Once you have checked in your ticket and luggage online, upon arrival at the airport, you must go to the Drop Off counter where you can leave your luggage. The airline employee will print special tags, attach them to the bags, and then place them on the conveyor belt.

Requirements and conditions for online registration:

Check-in must begin 23 hours and end 2 hours before departure.

Before proceeding with online check-in, you need to make sure that you have an e-ticket and a confirmed booking.

Online check-in is available for all passengers, except for the following categories:

Passengers traveling with infants (under two years of age) who do not occupy a separate seat;

Passengers who have warned that they may need medical assistance or special services;

Passengers under 16 years of age traveling alone;

Passengers with animals;

Passengers who have issued air tickets through travel agencies;

Passengers carrying special or dangerous cargo;

When buying group tickets (more than nine people).

The weight and dimensions of hand luggage should not exceed the established norm.

If you are planning to travel with luggage, it is best to check it in at any check-in counter or baggage drop-off desk. You must present your boarding pass at check-in.

You must arrive at the boarding gate no later than the time indicated on your boarding pass.

Documents must be presented before boarding.

Please remember that you will need to show your passport and printed boarding pass to pass through passport control and security checks and before boarding.

How much does a ticket cost, what to take on a plane and what to do at the airport

In the fall, I was going on my first trip with a three-month-old baby and worried at the same time about myself, the baby and the passengers of neighboring seats.

I imagined with horror that my daughter would cry the whole flight. But everything worked out.

I told how to choose accommodation and pack a suitcase with children's things. Now I will share the subtleties that will save parental nerves during the flight.

Elena Babushkina

traveling with a child

At what age can you fly

Airlines are listening to the recommendations of the World Health Organization. In the first 48 hours of a child's life, they are not allowed on board, in the first 7 days they require a certificate from a doctor. The doctor must confirm in writing that the newborn is allowed to fly. Starting from the second week, you can fly freely, but I advise you to consult a pediatrician in any case.

How much does the ticket cost

In Russia Children under 2 fly free of charge only in the arms of their parents. If there are two or three babies, and one adult, only one child will fly for free. The second and third will fly on children's tickets with a 25% discount from an adult.

Child tickets are required for all children over two years of age. If the child is 2 years and 1 day old on the day of the flight, they will need a child ticket.

If a child needs a separate seat, the airline will make a maximum discount 50% off adult ticket. The more expensive the ticket, the greater the discount.

In autumn, I traveled with my daughter to Sochi: she flew for free in my arms. And recently I booked tickets to Georgia. A Ural Airlines ticket from Yekaterinburg to Tbilisi and back cost 18,472 rubles, I paid 1,270 rubles fees for a baby.

Call the airline

Despite the fact that when buying a ticket you already said that you will have a baby with you, you need to call the airline and talk this point with the operator. By phone, you will resolve issues with cradles, seats, meals and many other things that you could not specify when buying a ticket.

The airline's hotline number is available on the company's website or will be indicated on the ticket purchase confirmation.

What are you allowed to take on a plane?

Suitcase. Even if a baby flies in the arms of an adult, he is entitled to a piece of luggage. A child's suitcase can weigh up to 10 kilograms, and the sum of its length, width and height should not exceed 115 centimeters. A small suitcase for hand luggage is suitable: the requirements for them are the same.

Stroller. In addition to a child's suitcase, you can take your own stroller on a flight. There are few requirements: weight up to 20 kilograms and lack of factory packaging. If you bought a new stroller while traveling, be sure to unpack it.

At the check-in desk, the chassis and carrycot of the stroller will be marked with special tags - DAA, Delivery at Aircraft. Such a stroller is checked in as baggage at the gangway or in the aviation sleeve. They return it at the door of the plane or with the rest of the luggage - it all depends on the airport. For example, you will have to wait for a stroller at the luggage belt in Barcelona, Berlin, Washington, Copenhagen, Rome and Stockholm.

In Sochi, I took one suitcase for two and a stroller. Next time I will do the same: my hands were free, the airport security guards escorted me to the elevators, I put a large pack of diapers in the stroller basket, which did not fit in the suitcase. The only thing that upset me was the bus: it is not easy to lift a stroller into it alone.

Lightweight pushchairs can be transported in the cabin. The weight of such a stroller should not exceed 4.5 kilograms, dimensions - 53 × 27 × 97 centimeters.

car seat. If you pay for a separate seat for an infant on an airplane, you need to take a car seat into the cabin. The base of the chair cannot exceed the dimensions of 40 × 40 centimeters, and it should not prevent the neighbors from reclining the seat backs. A car seat is required if you are traveling alone with two children under 2 years of age.

What to ask the airline

Before departure, you need to understand where the child will sleep on the plane and what he will eat. These questions will be answered in the call center of the airline. It is better to call there immediately after buying tickets, otherwise the baby will fly without privileges.

Airplane seats. Parents with babies are usually placed in the front rows or at the front of the aircraft. In addition, aviation regulations prohibit such passengers from booking seats in the emergency exit row.

If you choose seats via the Internet, at check-in, the parent and child with a separate seat can be seated. To prevent this from happening, you need to call the airline and ask to assign seats to you.

Children in car seats are usually placed at the window.

Cradle or belt. In large aircraft, children under one year old and weighing up to 11 kilograms provide cradles for sleeping. The cradle is attached to the partition in the first row and the baby is fastened with belts. To get a bassinet, you need to notify the airline at least 36 hours before departure.

Low-cost airlines also do not have cradles in small aircraft like the A-319, A-320, A-321, Boeing 737. On some flights, cradles are issued by Aeroflot, Ural Airlines, Emirates, Nordwind. They usually come with a set of bed linen.

I flew to Sochi with the Rossiya airline, there are no cradles in its planes. The flight attendant gave out a short belt that wraps around the child's waist and fastens to the adult belt in the manner of chain links. At the same time, keep the baby with his head to the porthole: suddenly something will fall from the service trolley.

Nutrition. Some airlines provide passengers with baby food. It must be ordered, like any other special, kosher or vegetarian, by phone and at least 36 hours in advance. In booking systems, infant meals have their own code: BBML.

For example, in the standard Aeroflot menu there are three cans of mashed potatoes: meat, vegetable and fruit, cookies and 200 ml of milk. If you're planning a trip months in advance, it's a good idea to look at the infant feeding schedule. So, if from 4 months babies begin to eat vegetables little by little, then from 8 months they can already eat bread.

To comfortably breastfeed on an airplane, you can bring a special breastfeeding cape or apron with you. To avoid problems with the transportation of milk formula, prepare bottles with a volume of up to 100 milliliters. If you feed a child during takeoff and landing, his ears will not be blocked and he will not burst into tears.

What to use at the airport

Mother and child room. The room with changing table and sink can be used by parents of children up to 7 years old. In it, you can safely feed and change the child, but almost always you have to wait in line.

There are also changing tables on airplanes - they are usually located in the toilet. Both at the airport and on the plane, it is convenient to take absorbent diapers and wet wipes.

Priority boarding. Passengers with infants are often checked in at the business class counter and loudly invited to skip the line when boarding the aircraft. If you are not invited, know that you have such a right.

Fast Track and Marhaba Service. If the travel budget allows, you can pay for the fast track service at the airport ticket office. With it, you can quickly go through passport control, get luggage, go through inspection along a separate corridor. The range of services varies from airport to airport. For example, in Yekaterinburg "Koltsovo" service includes service in the business lounge and a buffet. The cost of such a service starts from $ 35 (2266 R).

Similar services are available at many airports around the world. For example, in Dubai it is called "Marhaba".

Temporary stroller. Some airports provide wheelchairs to passengers. This is convenient if you have a connecting flight. At Vnukovo airport, such a service is available in the transfer hall of terminal A. Strollers are issued to parents with children under 5 years old.

What conclusions did I draw

  1. Do not choose low-cost airlines if you want to fly in an airplane with a cradle.
  2. Be prepared to pay for a child ticket if you are flying alone with two children. Take a car seat with you.
  3. Call the airline after purchasing tickets: let them know you have a baby with you, secure seats, ask for a bassinet and baby food.
  4. Place your baby items in your carry-on suitcase.
  5. Take a stroller on your trip and check it in at the airport.
  6. Plan what you will feed your baby and prepare containers of the allowed volume.

Consultant: Natalya Pautova, Friends Travel

The mere thought of flying with a child can cause stress for parents, especially if this trip is the first. There are indeed many potential difficulties and problems, ranging from flight delays, queues at check-in and customs, fears about how the child will endure the flight, and ending with questions about or what to do with the child during the flight.

We hope that our advice will help you start your journey in a great mood and avoid many, perhaps minor, but unpleasant moments.

So, welcome to the plane!

Buying an air ticket

The easiest and fastest way to purchase tickets is on the carrier's website. Most airlines provide the ability to immediately reserve seats when buying a ticket online, which is very convenient. Also . They will allow you to choose the best route and fare, book and buy an air ticket directly on the site, or after choosing a flight, they will redirect you to the airline's website. To purchase air tickets on the Internet, you must have a bank card, preferably of Classic class and higher, as some airline websites may not accept Electron / Maestro class cards, domestic national cards or cards without a CVV code and indicating the name of the cardholder (special Internet -cards or cards issued by banks during promotions).

When flying a child under 2 years of age (without a seat), usually 10% of the corresponding standard or reduced fare of the accompanying adult passenger is paid, unless there are special conditions for the application of this fare.

For children aged 2 to 12 years old, the corresponding child fare is paid with a discount of 30% to 50% of the standard fare of the accompanying adult passenger. An ordinary passenger ticket is issued, and the child occupies a separate passenger seat at this fare.

Arrival at the airport, check-in

Check-in for international flights begins, as a rule, 2-2.5 hours before the departure of the aircraft, for domestic flights - 1.5 hours. It is advisable not to be late and arrive at the beginning of registration in order to get seats in the first row of the salon (they are more comfortable and spacious). Better - use online check-in on the airline's website, which usually starts 24 hours before departure. Its convenience is that you can choose and book on your own. But even in this case, upon arrival at the airport, you will have to spend a little time on registration and baggage check-in.

Often, airlines check in passengers with small children out of turn. If there are huge queues at all check-in counters, go to the passenger check-in counter without luggage and ask for help - you will be checked in either there, then giving your luggage to the regular check-in counters, or the hall administrator will be called, and he will lead you to one of the passenger check-in counters out of turn.

If you are traveling with a baby stroller, at the baggage screening you will most likely be asked to fold the stroller, put all your belongings out of it, and roll it through the tape. At check-in, the stroller can not be checked in as luggage.. Just make sure it's tagged with your name and flight number. In this case, you will be able to use the stroller until boarding the plane. A flight attendant will take her to the luggage compartment near the airstairs, and upon arrival you will receive her back right at the airstairs. For traveling, a stroller-cane will be indispensable and most convenient - it is light, folds in one motion and takes up little space.

Infants can be provided with a baby cradle on board the aircraft (you can find out about the availability of such a service and restrictions on the age and weight of the child when booking tickets). Alternatively, you can take a cradle with you on the road - it fits with any amount of free space in the cabin, you can fasten it, and then the child may not be and sleep in your arms all the time. Again, check if you can use your bassinet during your flight in advance, as not all airlines allow this option.

Clothes and things that will come in handy when flying with a small child

  • Sling.
  • A blanket (if you didn’t take it with you, ask the flight attendant immediately upon landing, as the number of them in the cabin is limited, and temperature drops during the flight are guaranteed).
  • Diapers.
  • For babies who no longer use diapers, a folding potty or a special nozzle on the toilet.
  • A change of clothes for a child.
  • Change of clothes for mom.
  • Wet and dry wipes.
  • Disposable diaper (in case the child changes clothes in the cabin).
  • Toys (preferably new and different to attract the attention of the child longer). The only thing worth considering is that toy plastic or metal weapons will not be allowed on board the aircraft.
  • Dishes for feeding, pacifiers, teether.
  • Vasoconstrictor to avoid unpleasant stuffy ears or nasal problems.

Meals on board

When buying a ticket, ask if the airline provides a special menu for babies and older children, and what exactly is included in it.

If such a service exists, you will be able to order separate meals for your child (most importantly, inform the airline about this no later than 36 hours before departure). If your child is picky about food, prepare food and drinks familiar to him in advance (baby food is allowed on board the aircraft). It can be canned food, compote, juice or water, dried fruits, fruits, dry biscuits, a mixture or instant cereals (the stewardess will help you prepare the mixture or porridge in this case).

Waiting to board the plane

Check if there is a mother and child room in the waiting room - there you can always relax before departure, feed and change the child. After passing all the control zones and moving to the hall, let the baby run enough (if he already knows how to do it :)), because then he will have several hours of restriction of freedom of movement. Perhaps, having played enough before the flight, the child will get tired and oversleep during the entire flight. Today, almost every major international airport has a special room, family area or playground where a child can play before boarding is announced.

Similar gaming zones are available at Domodedovo (right wing, 2nd floor), Sheremetyevo (in each of terminals B, C, D, E, F), Vnukovo (terminal D, 2nd floor), Pulkovo-1 (area B, 3rd floor). To get into the children's rooms in Sheremetyevo and Vnukovo, you need to take a certificate for the child at the airport first-aid post. At the Boryspil airport (Kyiv), you will find a room for mother and child and a play area on the second floor of the departure hall in terminal F. But most of all, parents departing from such airports as Zurich (Zurich, Switzerland), Copenhagen (Copenhagen, Denmark) will be the luckiest , Schiphol (Amsterdam, Netherlands), Madrid Barajas (Madrid, Spain), Heathrow (London, UK), Paris Orly (Paris, France), Letiště Praha Ruzyně (Prague, Czech Republic), San Francisco International Airport (San Francisco, USA ), Changi International Airport (Singapore), Hong Kong International Airport (Hong Kong). These airports rightfully occupy a leading position in the ranking of the best airports in the world for traveling with children due to the variety of play areas, entertainment, attractions and comfort that are offered to young travelers. The main thing is that the parents themselves do not get carried away and do not miss the landing announcement :)

In airplane

We offer you a few simple rules that will help you spend time with your child on an airplane comfortably and without any problems.

Dress your child in layers. At different times of the flight, the temperature in the cabin changes, and if necessary, you can “regulate” the temperature regime for your child by removing or putting on one of the items of clothing. You can take off your shoes, leaving thick socks. It will be easier for the child, and it’s easier to run around the cabin.

When taking off and landing, it is better to offer a breast or a dummy to a baby, and a bottle or lollipops to older children. This will prevent ear plugging, the child will more easily endure both takeoff and landing. Drip vasoconstrictor drops into the nose before takeoff - they will significantly reduce the unpleasant process of laying the ears.

Sit your baby in the seat in the middle. The aisle seat is dangerous in that a child may be accidentally pushed, dropped on him, or spilled hot tea or coffee. And the porthole can blow through.

If your child needs a diaper change during the flight, this can be done in the restroom. In domestic aircraft, this is quite problematic, but in Boeings and Airbuses everything is much more comfortable and even a folding changing table is provided. How to find it, tell the stewardess. Just in case, take a disposable diaper with you to the salon if you have to change your baby in the cabin.

In one of our publications, we shared ideas during the flight. Consider your entertainment options.

And do not forget that there is a person on board the aircraft who will always come to your aid and will be able to advise on any issues - whether you need to heat up baby food, change the baby, take a blanket or do something else. Flight attendants are always very friendly to little travelers, so don't hesitate to contact us!

Arrival airport

Upon arrival, you will have to go through one of the most difficult tests - baggage claim. You will have to wait for luggage on an equal basis with everyone. If you are traveling with the whole family, it is better to immediately leave the baggage holding area with your child, or move away from the crowd of passengers who are hoping for suitcases falling onto the luggage belts, and entrust the collection of luggage to dad. If the mother is traveling alone with the child and those who meet her are waiting, then it is better to first go out and give the baby to those who meet, and then return for luggage, notifying, of course, the airport employees of your intention.

Good luck to all and have a nice flight!
